Some days at Galaxy FBO stand out above the rest. May 15, 2026, is going to be one of them. We are proud to host the Dream Flights Spirit of Texas Dedication Tour in Big Spring, The ‘Dream Flights’ are dedicated entirely to honoring senior veterans with the ride of a lifetime in an authentic Boeing Stearman biplane. The non-profit foundation exists for “Giving back to those who gave.” They travel the country providing free flights to senior veterans, many of them well into their 80s, in the very type of aircraft used to train U.S. military aviators during World War II. For some of these veterans, it’s a return to a world they once knew intimately. For all of them, it’s a deeply meaningful experience.

The fully restored 1943 Boeing Stearman (N55732) called the Spirit of Texas will start a 9-city tour across Texas starting May 6. The airplane was donated by a Texas aviation enthusiast and brought back to life recently by volunteers. The Spirit of Texas will give nearly 100 senior veterans a flight during this Texas tour.
Dream Flights are scheduled to start at 9am on Friday morning, May 15th. Veterans will get a chance to enjoy 20 minute flights in the open-cockpit biplane until 2pm in the afternoon. Friends, family, and community members are encouraged to come out, talk with the veterans, and share in the moment.
