Galaxy FBO today announced the opening of its new state-of-the-art Fixed Based Operation (FBO) corporate and general aviation facility at the Houston William P. Hobby Airport (HOU).
The new Galaxy FBO facilities are located in the South section of the Hobby Airport, at the end of the Runway 4, with easy access from taxi-way K. The property is in between the new Southwest Maintenance Hangars and the U.S. Customs office, at 8912 Paul B. Koonce Street.
“The new facility will provide visitors with an impressive gateway to Houston, and a great experience for the flight crew,” said Tony Wright, General Manager of Galaxy FBO. He added; “When it reaches its full capacity, Galaxy FBO is expected to add over 30 new hires to our workforce”.
The new Galaxy FBO KHOU Facilities feature:
A two-story 23,000 square feet building
Galaxy FBO occupies half of the first floor of the building, which houses pilot and VIP lounges.
The facility is also the new headquarters for Wing Aviation, a regional Private Aircraft Management and Part 135 Charter Services company. Wing Aviation will run its charter operations, utilizing its new exclusive ‘Voyager Lounge’, named after NASA’s twin spacecraft, that travelled the farthest from earth. Over one-hundred Wing personnel will call the new facility home to support its flight operations; from sales, accounting, dispatch to maintenance and flight crew.
Galaxy FBO also offers over 2,000 square feet of additional turn-key office space for lease for aviation related businesses at this new facility.
Two 38,000 square feet hangars
Two identical hangars provide adequate space for aircraft storage, with 28’ height and 245’ width door clearance. Additional parking, storage and office space adjacent to the hangars is also available for lease to prospected aviation related tenants.
With the opening of its Houston Hobby facilities, Galaxy FBO now operates three locations within the Greater Houston; including the facilities at the Conroe North Houston Regional Airport, and the exclusive Heliport at 1TE2 in The Woodlands, Texas.
