The Texas Aviation Association and the Lone Star Executive Airport is hosting the 2015 Lone Star Skies Fly-In and Safety Day on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the Galaxy FBO from 8am to 3pm.
As the fall approaches and the weather cools, head outside to sample the excellent aviation shows that Texas has to offer!

Galaxy FBO hosted a special aircraft viewing event on May 20th and 21st for the Textron Aviation Cessna® and Beechcraft® products.
Operation Pets Alive, Cloud Nine Rescue Flights & the Montgomery County Animal Rescue recently partnered up to fly 41 puppies from Galaxy FBO to The Northeast Animal Rescue in Salem, Massachusetts. These events are organized to transport healthy animals from overpopulated shelters in Southern states to areas with more available resources to take care of them.
The ‘Goodtime Gal’ had her Inaugural passenger flight at Galaxy FBO on Sunday, March 29th. The Lockheed C-60A, is the first “Lodestar”, which was built specifically for military service. Galaxy FBO was honored to host her first flight with passengers since being acquired by the Commemorative Air Force. Carrying the name and nose art ‘Goodtime Gal’, the C-60A was acquired by and assigned to the Houston Wing of the Commemorative Air Force & is now flying as part of their vintage aircraft fleet.
Galaxy FBO had the honor of hosting the first annual Wings, Wheels & Heels exclusive charity event benefiting Angel Reach. A faith based non-profit organization that has been actively helping our community’s abused and neglected foster children since 2008.
Galaxy FBO welcomes the Shell Houston Open coming to Golf Club of Houston March 30th to April 5th. The annual event is held in Humble TX, just south of our brand new state-of-the-art facility. The Shell Houston Open is a regular part of the PGA tour and it will be held one week before the masters. This is Houston’s largest and most prestigious golf event hosting 144 of the world’s best golfers all competing for $6M in prize money.
It is official! The long awaited extension of runway 14/32 is completed. Numerous state and local dignitaries were on hand for the ribbon cutting on Monday, March 23rd. This long awaited construction is just the beginning to make Lone Star Executive, the airport of choice for Corporate Aviation in North Houston.
