Port Arthur Nursing Home Evacuation

When two senior care facilities in Port Arthur – Cypress Glen and Lake Arthur Place – took on water due to Hurricane Harvey on Tuesday Night, August 29th (Click here for the Weather Channel Story), a rescue mission was organized immediately to evacuate close to 200 Nursing Home residents and patients to six North Houston senior care facilities.

Within hours, Galaxy FBO was ready to accommodate hundreds of Homeland Security, Army Reserve and EMT crew and support the flight missions from the new Galaxy FBO S14/S15 Hangars at the CXO Airport. Multiple UH-60 Black Hawk and CH-47 Chinook Helicopters were utilized during rescue mission.

Our thoughts and prayers are with those who were affected by the terrible storm.
